Linda L. Luebbe has lived in Nebraska almost her entire life. She has worked as a nurse for 50 years in addition to running the family farm and spraying businesses. She has worked as a surgical nurse, office nurse, director of nursing at an assisted living facility, staff nurse at a nursing home, and finally as a school nurse for the Seward School District for 12 years. Summers were spent as a field nurse for Monsanto monitoring detasslers. In retirement, Linda continues to work as a substitute school nurse for Centennial and Seward schools. She enjoys walking and biking, quilting, gardening, and travel (she and her husband have visited all 50 states as well as 32 countries).

Luebbe has served on the board since 1997. “My focus on this board is to help protect the ground water quality and quantity so that my grandchildren will have plenty of good, safe water for their use,” she says. Luebbe adds that she wishes more people (both urban and rural) understood that the board of the NRD is trying to make sure there will be quality and abundant water available for generations to come and that they are trying to protect top soil and crop lands.
