Rodney Grotz joined the board of the NRD in January 2021. He’s a lifelong district resident who farms corn and soybeans, primarily. He ran for the board because he wants to be sure that there is representation and perspectives from all areas of the community. He hopes to bring his experience in agriculture to the table to “open a dialogue between the NRD and local producers and citizens.” Grotz believes that Nebraska has one of the most valuable resources in the nation and he wants to make sure it is available for productive use for the producers and citizens of the state. Grotz wants constituents to know that the NRD is far more than regulations. The NRD has many programs to encourage conservation, habitat improvement, and recreational development to benefit all district residents. Grotz enjoys outdoor activities, hunting, hiking, golf, and traveling.
