The Upper Big Blue Natural Resources District NRD is currently seeking to fill their at-large position.
The Board will appoint an eligible individual to fill the remainder of the unexpired term. Interested persons meeting all eligibility requirements are invited to apply.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a registered voter
- Must reside within the Upper Big Blue Natural Resources District
Applicants must submit a letter of application addressed to the General Manager. The letter of application should include, at a minimum, the applicant’s place of residence and the fact that the applicant is registered to vote. Additional information outlining qualifications and interest in the position is encouraged. Application materials must be received at the NRD office no later than December 10 at 1:00 PM.
The Board of Directors set policy and approve major projects, and the NRD staff carries out the policies and manage affairs of the District on a day-to-day basis. Board members can expect to spend 3 to 4 days per month on District business.
The Upper Big Blue NRD covers parts or all of 9 counties and has responsibilities that include ground water regulation, soil and water conservation, flood prevention and control, forestry, wildlife habitat, parks and recreation.
