This minimally developed area is a great spot to explore nature. It's a stopping spot for many migratory bird species, as well as a place to view dozens of species of reptiles, amphibians, and mammals who make their homes in wetlands. There are 990 species of plants that can be found in Nebraska's wetlands across the state.

The recreation area is open for hiking, wildlife viewing, upland game hunting, and waterfowl hunting when cattle are not present. If cattle are present people may not enter the recreation area or hunt.

Teal View Wetland Education Area is for day-use only and is open from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sundown.  Camping is prohibited.

If you see vandalism or another illicit activity taking place, please call the sheriff's department immediately: (402) 694-6936.
