Conservation Tree Program

Conservation Tree Program

Trees are an important investment for your farmstead or acreage, for your business, school or church, or for your community. Take advantage of this great opportunity to improve your property with minimal investment through the Upper Big Blue NRD conservation tree program.

The NRD Conservation Tree Program helps landowners with planting windbreaks, reducing soil erosion, crop and livestock sheltering, and habitat creation.  Each year, the NRDs sell a wide variety of trees & shrubs for conservation use, as well as assist landowners with plot designs and planting.
  • Each species must be ordered in lots of 25 trees.
  • Sales tax is calculated by the county where the order will be picked up.
  • You will be contacted after April 1 to pick up your order.
  • The Upper Big Blue NRD will plant orders within the district's boundaries for orders of 150 trees or more. If you would like the NRD to plant your tree order, it adds $1.18 to the cost of each tree. Please call us to make arrangements for orders of this size.
  • Call 402-362-6601 if you need help in creating a planting plan.
